Warehouse Manager

Local Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Reports to: Managing Director

Location: Athens, Greece

Tasks & Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping.
  • Ensure efficient space utilization and maintain an orderly and clean warehouse.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.

Inventory Control:

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control systems to detect and correct discrepancies.

Staff Management:

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including performance management and professional development.
  • Enforce health and safety standards and conduct regular safety training sessions to create and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Promote the Jellow Way culture.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate and oversee all logistics operations, including transportation, delivery schedules, and route planning.
  • Work closely with suppliers, customers, and transportation companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure the integrity and quality of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Handle and resolve any quality or delivery issues promptly.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all shipping, receiving, and inventory management documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Technology Utilization:

  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software to streamline operations and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay updated with the latest warehouse technology trends and implement improvements where applicable.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (will be considered as an asset).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cost management skills
